Here’s what information we collect when you sign up for Y Oslo, and what we use it for.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?
Y Oslo is owned by Netlife Design AS (org. no. 916 898 908), Youngstorget 3, 0181 Oslo, which is responsible for your personal data. We follow the Norwegian Personal Data Act and the GDPR.

What we collect
Your name, email, job title and workplace. For invoicing, we also ask for your company’s organisation number, invoice address and invoice reference.

Food and accessibility
You can tell us about allergies, dietary needs or accessibility needs, such as wheelchair access or a sign language interpreter. This is voluntary, and we only share this when needed to make adjustments regarding you.

How we use it
To send you practical information, invoice you, meet your needs at the conference and ask for your feedback afterwards. We use Checkin to handle registrations.

How long we keep it
Checkin deletes your information one month after the conference. We keep information about your employer for 18 months for statistics. Invoice information is kept for five years, as required by Norwegian accounting law.

NEWSLETTER
We only send emails about Y Oslo, using Checkin and Make.as. Subscribing is voluntary, and every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or it stops working.

COOKIES
You choose which cookies we can use in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time.

Analytics
We use Piwik Pro to see how our website is used. IP anonymisation is turned on, so your IP address is not stored.

Meta and LinkedIn
These are marketing cookies. They don’t tell us who you are, but they let Meta and LinkedIn know you’ve visited us, so they can show you ads for Y Oslo.

PHOTOS AND VIDEO
We take photos at Y Oslo and publish them on Flickr and social media. We film the talks on stage for YouTube, but only the speakers, not the audience.

Don’t want to be photographed? Tell the photographer or the registration desk. Want a photo removed? Email yo@y-oslo.com.

YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email yo@y-oslo.com and we’ll reply within one month.

If you think we’ve handled your data wrongly, you can complain to Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority) at datatilsynet.no.
